Mr. Jay Kumar is a Cloud Solution Architect, serving the North East Region of Microsoft US. He possesses
more than 25 years of industry experience in numerous domains and technologies including Software
Design & Development, Application Management, Enterprise Architecture, Management and Consulting
etc. As a solution architect, he provides guidance on digital transformation, application modernization,
cloud migration and IT operations to his clients. Prior to joining Microsoft, He has worked in various
capacities such as R&D Engineer, Enterprise Architect, Agile Product Owner and Program Manager with
various organizations. He has a broad spectrum of expertise in areas like Financial Systems, Real Time
Embedded Control Systems, Process Automation, Object Oriented Design, Cloud and Containerization.
Jay has a record of building teams, planning and managing staff and delivering enterprise-scale projects
with systems deployed world-wide. His team won the best design of the year at the IMTEX (Indian
Machine Tools Manufacturers Exhibition), New Delhi, India in 1994. In 2015, as the Program Manager at
USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services), his team of 25 DevOps engineers was
awarded the Certificate of Excellence for providing exceptional value in streamlining ELIS (Electronic
Immigration Systems) program by migrating the application to cloud and automating the delivery
pipeline using CI/CD processes. Jay has also won the Microsoft Financial Year 2017 Top Team Award in
US Mid Atlantic Commercial District for extraordinary contributions toward achieving key company
objectives.
